[Question #3720] herpes/ skin to skin transmission

I've recently started a new relationship with a partner who is not infected with herpes.  I, however have genital herpes. I was married fo many years and need to review  how it's transmitted  since I'm with a new partner. He know's I  have it  and we haven't had intercourse until he know's all the risks .  Can it be transferred if my partner fingers me even when I have no outbreak or feel anything coming on such as tingling or pain in the groin area, etc..?  What about me giving him oral sex?

You can give him oral sex if your herpes is only genital without risk of transmission.
Masturbating you presents no risk of transmission.
And has he actually been tested or he just thinks he is not infected?  And do you have HSV 1 or 2 genitally?
