[Question #3852] herpes and hpv

I am a 30 yr old male. from when I was young I always got cold sores(herpes) on and off on the outside of my mouth. but always go away on its own.  over a year ago I found a wart on my penis, it was the first time it ever happen. I had it removed and haven't had one since. my question is with these two diseases, should I worry about a shorten life expectancy, am I able to life a long normal life or is my life now shorten?

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question.

Neither herpes (oral or genital), HPV, nor genital warts have any effect on life expectancy. Indeed, at least half of all humans have oral herpes and over 90% get HPV. They all live entirely normal lifespans.

I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.
