There are differing opinions online. I have genital herpes for 40 yrs. and get it rarely now. Have had 1 or 2 small outbreaks on my arm. Last week I awoke with a bad rash on my arm. It was diagnosed as poison ivy and I used Clobetasol. Now I have 3 or 4 small but very itchy lesions on my leg and foot. Could it be herpes and could I have spread it by touching my arm, then my leg?

You have had outbreaks on your arm that have been confirmed by a swab test as being herpes or you think they might be herpes? Could you clarify please?
Once you have established herpes in one place on your body, it is highly unlikely that you would ever get it in a new location so I seriously doubt that what you are describing is herpes on your arm or leg or foot. Have you had a clinician look at that or swab it?
