[Question #42] herpeselect hsv-2 and western blot

Hello - In your years of practice, how often do you see someone test negative for hsv-2 by herepeselect a year out from possible exposure and then test positive by western blot? Thank you

No, I never have.  Not in 33 years in practice.  Our research suggests that the ELISA misses about 2% of infections compared to western blot, however.  Do you have other questions about this situation.
