Dear Doctor
Sorry for my poor english .

am a man  had unprotected anal sex with another man for 2 or 3 minutes( a massage worker) for my first time , I was the receptive person and am not sure if he is a hiv positive and if some of his semen come in side me .

Am really worried about hiv infection, I went for testing 3 times 4G combo test at 9,24,39 days after and all negative , I know am 3 days back from 6 weeks.

But Dear Doctors do I need another test or my last test are final results and approved am ok, and do you think the results will change after that all .

Am worried about my family and wife.

Please help me

Thank you so much

Welcome to the Forum.  I'll be glad to comment.  Testing after this exposure was the right thing to do.  I hope that you will use condoms for future sexual activity outside of your marriage.

The testing you have had would have detected over 99% of all recent HIV infections.  Testing at six weeks will provide completely reliable and conclusive test results.  I anticipate that the six week test will be negative.  When it is, there is no need for further testing and you can be confident that you do not have HIV from the encounter you describe.

I hope this information is helpful to you.  EWH

Thank you Doctor

One more thing
Is there a big difference between 39 days and 42 days to do the test ?

No, there is not a major difference.  That is the reason I indicated that your 39 day result was more than 99% conclusive.  EWH---

Yes, after you receive the results of your 39 day test, you should certainly be able to have unprotected sex with your wife without concerns about infecting your wife with HIV.

As you know, this is my 3rd response to your questions. Therefore I will close this thread shortly, as per Forum guidelines.  I hope that my comments are helpful. EWH
