[Question #4401] Follow up

Hello. My old ticket was closed, but I just wanted to thank you for all of your help and provide an update. This in in regard to a one time mutual oral msm that I deeply regret. This has been the worst time of my life and you have helped me greatly.  I still have great guilt and terrible anxiety over this mistake, but my anxiety is no longer due to std fears and is more of my clinical depression and my reaction to this event. I'm planning to get counseling. I figure such a one-off event isn't worth telling my wife, but I think that shame is my issue now.
Regardless, as I mentioned before I tested negative for gon and cyph oral and genital at 7 days post event. I have had no symptoms of anything. And I have now tested negative for ag/ab Hiv as well as negative for syphilis at 27 days and all negative again on the 41st day. And with my chances of HPV or herpes from this being almost nil, I finally feel that I'm ok and I am going to try to get back to normal in my life.  So just an update for you. Thanks.

I'm glad we helped, but I see no new question here. I reviewed your previous threads, and I hope posting your thanks helps contribute to success in dealing with your anxieties over "this mistake". But I have no additional comments or advice. Best wishes to you.
