[Question #4427] HSV2 Question

Dear Experts,
I have genital HSV2. Now for my question:
Am I correct that during a full on outbreak of genital herpes I can kiss a partner with no fear of passing the virus?
I recently read something online that seemed to suggest the virus could become systemic during the time of an outbreak because it is a period of high viral load. Is this correct or just more misinformation courtesy of the internet?
I was under the impression that the virus stays put in the ganglia associated with the genitals (unconnected to the ganglia associated with the mouth) which is why I am in no danger of passing the virus through kissing....even when a visible, symptomatic outbreak is occurring on my genitals. Just want to make sure this is correct. I try to be as conscientious as possible regarding my infection.
Thanks!

If you only have genital infection, there is no risk whatsoever in you kissing a partner at any time. Zero
Your impressions about the behavior of the virus is spot on!
