[Question #4441] Herpes concern from breast suckling

Dear Doc, I recently got a western blot which came out negative after 7 months exposure. I have abstained from sex after that. Last night I went to a strip bar and started getting a dance, things got heated and I started running my face against the stripped breasts aggressively and I licked it. Due to the law here, her nipples are covered with a plastic tape so licked around but not on nippular area.
1. have you seen any cases transfer or transmit herpes like this from breast’s to face? I m feeling so nervous. Please help. Is there is a transmission that you have seen or observed by sucking nipple?
2. What if a guy or someone did the same an hour ago and when I did it I get it transmitted?
3. what if she has it on her breasts not on nippular but other areas and I lick hers and the transmission occurring? My mouth has been twitching slightly since morning. Should I be worried at all?
4. The below shows a similar exposure which he feels like he caught it from. Can his though be wrong?
5. Within 10 hours I started developing sore throat does this sound alarming? I am feeling this discomfort in my throat.
I am constantly being worried about the cold sores, do you see any concern here as I am having a sore throat within a day of exposure?
6. My earlier hsv antibody and western blot is negative for both 1&2 so you recommend any further testing or worry about this issue? I read somewhere they got cold sore after sucking some massage parlor girl. Pls help with it.
7. Even I have seen a post of your saying herpes is no possible through nipple sucking but getting herpes on nipple is possible and there is no asymptotic shedding from nipple area, how do we know this pls advise.
8. As far as I remember her nipples were covered with a plastic tape it’s a law in Indiana however he surrounding area might be slightly exposed. I don’t think she was in pain or nor irritated that makes clear that her nipples r tight and intact or else she might not let me touch their if she was in pain.

NO!

I do not recommend any further testing based on this encounter.

The skin of the breast itself is too thick for the virus to get out that might live on the nipple. And you were not exposed to the nipple itself

the breast itself is not an issue. You were not exposed to any virus by the activity that you participated in and you need to stop worrying about this completely now. You are not at any risk from this encounter.

Thank you answering Doctor. Two weeeks down I developed a red sore on my tongue which hurts however I don’t see a blister kind looking. This is the second day and it pains when my teeth touches the tongue. The region is on the tip of the left side of the tongue. Should I see this of concern? Pls advise. I am trying to move on based on your suggestion and given The encounter. Thanks

I do not feel that this is related to herpes. Many people get sore spots on their tongue, and this can be from many causes but not normally herpes, no. Canker sores and geographic tongue are a couple of causes for sores on the tongue.

The sore on tongue has vanished in four days but two small bumps popped inside my upper lip not on the lip or outside but those were inside my upper lip. I tired to pop one and it formed a whole or looked like an ulcer to me.
Is this a canker sore? Or could that be herpes?
Can herpes be very mild inside the mouth and go away in 4-5 days after primary exposure or will it be intense?
When I sucked on the breasts the nipples are covered but area (aerola) around it is exposed which might have come in contact.
So if u still feel this is not a risk activity them I will just calm down and not worry about anything. I kissed my wife over the weeekdn and she started feeling feverish today so kind of concerned.
Should I keep this aside now and move on?
No additional testing needed right? Thank you for your invaluable help.

It is possible to have herpes lesions inside the lip, yes. I get them there sometimes, or used to, before antiviral medicine.
But it is extremely unlikely that you would acquire oral herpes from contact near nipples.
Put it aside. No more testing.
