[Question #4465] #4371 follow-up (for Dr. Hook)

Hi Dr Hook, sorry I just had a couple of very quick follow-ups on my previous question:

- One of my last questions was "Also at the same time I put my hands into the fish spa water for the fish to clean, would this change your advice in a) and b)?" - i.e. would the fact I put my hands into the fish spa water for the fish to clean change any of your advice in the previous responses in #4371?

- If I suffered from Diabetes, would this change any of your previous responses in #4371 in relation to the transmission of HIV/Hep B/Hep C/syphillis/HTLV/HHV-8/any other STDs, i.e. via household (non-sexual) transmission or fish spas?

Thankyou Dr, sorry for the follow-up

Your questions are repetitive and the answers really should have been apparent from my earlier response.  The nature of your questions suggests to me that you may be OCD or have an anxiety disorder which would benefit from professional management.  I will briefly answer these questions and then the thread will be closed.  Further questions of this nature will NOT be entertained.

HIV is not transmitted by touching, including emersion in water used by infected persons. Having already answered the question regarding footbaths, that you would ask about putting you hands in the water surprises me.  Same answer, the situation you describe is entirely no risk - hands, feet or other body parts. These infections are not spread this way.

The presence of diabetes in no way changes my answers.

I hope these answers will allow you to move on. EWH
