[Question #4603] Exposure

I am married and last week I was taken to a lap dancing club for my birthday. My friend bought me a dance and the woman started to grind up and down me- she was wearing nothing but I had my jeans and boxer shorts on.. my penis head was up towards my belly button but covered.. as she continued I did ejaculate and after she touched herself she then put her hand on my bare penis down my trousers to which I told her no and said thank you and walked off..

She did do some kissing and breasts in face etc

After two days I started to feel irritation in the top of my penis, the urethra and always feeling I wanted to see. I do suffer from health anxiety as well- this was happening for about five days but I was sure it was not risky

Just always feel I could feel the tip and that it was hot and urge to always wee... I would look and it was red and I had no discharge or major burning when peeing- I mean sometimes when destroyed it would initially be hot wee which I could feel but normal apart from that

Cause if my health anxiety I google a lot and want to make sure I was completely risk free

I’m worried what if penis head came out or the hand to genital contact if she had fluid on

Does this sound like paranoia and anxiety

A week on I have no more feelings of itritttion

Thank you so much

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your confidence in our services.

No STD is possible through clothing or by hand-genital contact. There is no chance you have any infection from the events described. It doesn't matter if there were genital fluids on the lap dancer's hands.

I'm not sure exactly how to interpret your symptoms -- i.e. what your sense of "irritation" means. But most likely you have correctly diagnosed it:  whenever someone suspects his or her own symptoms have a psychological origin ("Does this sound like paranoia and anxiety?") usually s/he is right. That's a far more likely explanation than any infection from these events.

Don't confuse your concerns about a sexual decision you regret with STD risks from that decision. They aren't the same. Deal with the former as you need to, but you can disregard the latter. I rcommend you not be tested for anything and that you continue your normal sexual relations with your wife.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Hi Dr m
Thank you so much for your prompt reply..

Irritation was that the tip always felt hot and urgency to always wee.. but when I weed no pain on urination and no discharge ( would these be felt with infection? )  the irritation lasted 5 days and now it’s a week since exposure and I have no symptoms.. does his make it More convincing there was no infection?

Sorry dont know too  much about symptoms of the stds but they would go so quick right?

Thank you doctor sometimes it’s hard to believe your mind could be making you feel certain sensations..

Thank you Doctor and thank you for a brilliant service

Yes, the additional information about those sensations does not change my opinion or advice. It is true that any STD would cause persisting symptoms beyond 5 days.

Probably anxiety doesn't create symptoms out of the blue. But it certainly can greatly magnify trivial symptoms or even normal body sensations that otherwise wouldn't be bothersome and perhaps not even noticed. And anyway, you could have had some phyisical irritation, e.g. pressure and rubbing against your clothing, to explain such a symptom. But the exposure for sure was zero risk for any and all STDs.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad to have helped.

Sorry Doctor
Really appreciate your reply-
One last question- would you expect discharge with most of the stds such as clynedia and gonnarrea? This is if symptoms show?
Thank you so much for your advice

Almost all urethral gonorrhea in men causes obvious discharge. Probaboy about 80% of chlamydial infections do so. But it doesn't matter, since it is impossible catch either one from the events you describe. If you someday turn up with these or any other STD, it will not be from your lap dance adventure.

That completes the two follow-up comments and replies included with each question, and so concludes this thread. I hope the discussion has beeh helpful. Really, just suck it up and move on!
