[Question #4711] Follow up ?

Dr, one thing I forgot to mention in my previous question on being fingered anally. I have a past history of occasional ulcerative proctitis/colitis.  I was not in flare up at the time or bleeding.  Does this change your thoughts on HIV or STD transmission at all?  Just concerned.  Thanks

Sorry you found it necessary to return to the forum, especially since your question was directly answered in your previous thread. I wrote "HIV cannot be transmitted by masage, hand-genital contact, or fingering. Sexual transmission requires a penis inside another person's vagina, rectum, or (maybe, only rarely)mouth. There are no exceptions." That was meant to apply to both you fingering a partner, and a partner fingering you. And as I said in one of the follow-up comments, it also applies to all STDs.

Still no worries, no need for testing, and no risk to your wife. Do your best to put this incident behind you and stop worrying about it.
