[Question #4755] OHSV1 and GHSV1 combined transmission risk

I was diagnosed via swab test to have both OHSV1 and GHSV1. I contracted both from the same encounter. I know there are no studies on transmission of HSV1, but based off of your knowledge, would you say that if taking daily antivirals but no condoms, my risk of infecting a partner is less than that of someone with just OHSV1 but who does not take daily antivirals or use condoms for oral sex? Assuming we both engage in regular oral and penetrative sex as the same rate. Essentially I'm asking if GHSV1 increases my risk more or less than the amount that daily antivirals reduces my risk.

Oh my, most certainly!  The antiviral reduces viral shedding by at least half.  The antivirals definitely outweigh the genital infection risk, in my opinion
