Hello doctor I had cunning less and sex and the condom broke and the girl had her period (apparently her last day) and I’m afraid. How concolusive is pcr HIV qualitative test at days 15, 27,33 all undetected as well as hiv1&2 combo p24 antigen at days 22,24,27,33,35(on day 33 at two different labs) non reactive?
Thank you

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your confidence in our services. I'm glad to help.
These tests are 100% conclusive: you do not have HIV. In theory, it can take up to 6 weeks for conclusive results from the AgAb (combo) tests to be conclusive, so you could consider one more test at that time. However, with two kinds of tests at two different labs, there is really no need and you have been seriously overtested already. In addition to the negative test results, the chance you caught HIV from this exposure is almont zero. Oral-vaginal sex (cunnilingus) carries little or no risk; and a single episode of unprotected sex has only about 1 chance in 2,500 of transmitting HIV. (Sex during menstruation does not increase the risk compared to sex without blood exposure. The amount of HIV in blood is no higher than in vaginal fluids.)
So all is well, no worries! Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Hello doctor
Thank you for your quick reply.
Qualitative pcr test at day 33 and hiv p24 combo test by day 35. Is that considered conclusive? (Also to mention that I tested the girl 2 weeks after we had sex for hiv combo p24 and she was negative.)
I’m just really anxious.. so I would like to relieve my anxiety in that regard
Thanks again.

I already said these results are conclusive. And your partner's test result of course proves you were not exposed to HIV anyway. Do your best to accept that you were not even at risk and certainly were not infected.---

Dear doctor, I mean maybe she was infected a week earlier and it won’t show in the test since it has a 6 week window

Even if she had been infected, if that test is negative, HIV is not transmissible. It takes time for HIV to build to a point that it can be transmitted.

That completes the two follow-up comments and replies included with each question and so ends this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful. Trust me: there is zero possibility you have HIV.
