[Question #4930] STD from poop?

Last week I used a public restroom, after doing my business I used the provided toilet paper that was not in a holder but sitting on the back of the toilet. After wiping my bum I noticed what appeared to be dried poo and the top of the roll. Am I likely to have caught an std likeChlamydiaorgonorrhea this way?

Welcome to the forum.
No STDs are transmitted in this fashion. The only way someone gets an STD in a public restroom is to have sex while there! Feces rarely carries any STD bacteria or viruses, but even for body fluids that do (e.g. genital secretions, blood), superficial contact of the type in toilets is not sufficient for transmisison. They are passed from person to person only by sex.
Of course I would recommend routine hygiene after using any toilet, public or otherwise. That is, wash your hands with soap and water when you're done, or use an alcohol hand sanitizer like Purel. But there is never any STD risk even if you forget. (Washing is intended primarily to prevent colds, flu, and intestinal infections, not STDds.)
So no worries and no need for testing.

Even though the poo might have touched the hole of my anus? This would not transmit STD?

s I said above, feces rarely if ever carries STDs. Even if it did, the very minor exposure you describe would not transmit it. No risk at all.---

Thank you I appreciate your knowledge on the subject, so this is NOT an incident that would result in STD and I should forget about it and not get any testing?
