[Question #4997] Clarification please

I asked a question a few days ago and your answers really calmed my worry.  I just had a few other questions.  Scenario:  strip club with female friend.  While she gets lap dance, stripper is kissing her.  I kiss friend after and friend performs oral sex on me for 2 minutes to ejaculation.  That was 11 days ago.   I have hsv1 since childhood.  Friend hasn’t had sex in years, hasn’t had oral many months. my questions:
1). If stripper had hiv and some kind of bleeding gums, etc then kissed my friend who kisses me, can that blood/saliva infect me?  I get bleeding in morning when I’m flossing.  I know you’ve guys have said no risk to similar things, but I get a sore throat and start googling and early HIV symptoms pop up and anxiety kicks in.

2. From reading your old posts, at 11 days it seems that and herpes symptoms would have appeared, Gonorrhea too I’m assuming.  But am I in the clear for NGU from the oral experience?  I’ve had oral sex with the friend in the past, but not in a very long time and I have a regular partner.

Thank you for all of your help.  I really do appreciate it.

Welcome back to the Forum although I'm sorry you felt the need to return.  I agree with all that Dr. Handsfield has already told you.m straight to your questions:
1.  This question is repetitive.  There is no risk for STI from French kissing with saliva exchange.  That your gums bleed with flossing makes no difference.  Your sore throat is not due to HIV. acquired through the events you have described.
2.  Yes, if you were going to develop symptoms, including of gonorrhea,NGU, or herpes, the symptoms would have developed by now.

Please don't worry.  I urge you to stay off the internet.  It will only feed your anxieties.  All too much of what is said there is out of date, taken out of context, or just plain wrong.  EWH

Thanks doc.

You are right- the internet really is a rabbit hole and I plan on changing habits as to not let it effect me.  Your comments def are soothing.

The last question I do have though is that for NGU from oral, I see you and doctor H sometimes use different timeframes as to when symptoms occur.  On many of the responses I see you guys say 4-5 days  symptoms would start, but then on others I see other timeframes like 10-14 days listed.  What would be the reason for different number of days?

I think you may be misinterpreting our alive.  For herpes we both agree that symptoms would occur before 14 days and usually by day 10.  For Gonorrhea, symptoms would occur between days 3 and 7, usually by day 5.  For NGU symptoms tend to be milder but would typically be obvious by day 10, or in your case, day 11.mmall of these are estimates but hopefully the time frames we provide are helpful and for you, reassuring.  EWH---

Anxiety subsided for a few days.  But yesterday (day 12)  I saw a little red dot on my penis head.  I got all paranoid and spent way too much time examining it and getting paranoid- even though like I said I have cold sores since childhood.  I should have just taken the advice that herpes is not a real world possibility.   Have you ever seen a second case of hsv1 pop up on the body after years?

But last night, I felt a little uncomfortableness as I start urinating.  It’s not burning or pain   Just uncomfortable.  Since then when I go to urinate I feel the heart racing and feel that weird feeling each time I pee.

Is it possible to be NGU?  No discharge or anything.  Or could I have irritated for by looking at my penis all day long yesterday ?   Or generalized anxiety ?

Today is day 13 and I just want to put this whole ordeal to bed.

Once again, I think you are over evaluating.  If the red dot did not evolve to become ulceration, given the fact that you have had cold sores for year, you can be quite confident that it is not HSV.  Once persons have HSV-1/cold sores anywhere, they do not get re-infected from new exposures or develop new lesions at different sites from where their cold sores typically recur.  None of us on the Forum have even seen this occur.

The heart racing is simply not a sign of urethritis.

You asked about NGU before, my answer will not change.  You continue to over react.

The "ordeal" is of your own making.  Take a deep breath, relax and more forward.

As you know, we provide up to three responses to each client's questions. This is my 3rd response. Thus this thread will be closed shortly without additional responses.  Further, as you have been warned before, I must also inform you that if you return to the Forum with continuing repetitive and anxiety-driven questions, your question may be deleted without comment or return of your posting fee.  Take care.
