[Question #5081] HSV 1 genital transmission questions

I'm a 22 y/o heterosexual female in a monogamous relationship recently diagnosed with HSV1 genital, suspected to be caused from me receiving oral sex from partner who doesn't recall ever having a cold sore. I'm aware he could have HSV1 oral asymptomatically, and his mother has frequent HSV1 oral outbreaks. I am wondering what the transmission likelihood is for me to either cause him to have an HSV 1 oral outbreak or give him a new HSV 1 genital infection from genital-genital sex transmission (with and without condom) or from me receiving unprotected oral sex from my partner? Thank you very much for your help.

Since he has HSV 1 already, it is highly unlikely that he would acquire this genitally from having intercourse with you. And you would not cause him to have an oral outbreak - that's under the control of his own immune system.
