I had anal sex with a man & also performed oral sex on him. Two weeks later he tells me to get tested for herpes 2. Since then I have given & received oral sex from another man frequently. I have no symptoms whatsoever. I am getting a blood test done today. Can this disease be transmitted even without an outbreak & can a man get it from performing oral sex?

Yes, it can be transmitted when no sores are present - ever. I hope that you are getting an IgG test, not an IgM test - never ever use IgM. Many false positives on that test. It might be also helpful for the other partner to get tested. Is the man with whom you had anal sex saying you gave it to him?

No after I told him he was just a one night stand because he was 20 years my junior that’s when he told me I should get tested
