[Question #5226] Std risk

Dear Experts,

First of all sorry for my not perfect English. I would like to ask about the risk of getting STD.

I visited a sexual worker a few days ago. There was no vaginal, anal, oral sex or kissing at all. She masturbated and I just watched it. With my left hand I touched her breast, bottom, shoulder, face and hair. No genital. With my right hand I touched my unprotected penis and finally ejaculated on her body. My penis had no contact with her body. Before it with my right hand I just touched the towel what she gave me, some stuff in the bathroom, door knobs in her apartment and maybe her hand at welcoming ( I am not sure in the last) - later my penis. I don't touched myself with my left hand after touching her body and she did not touch me at all.

I suppose that I could not get any serious infection this way. But on the internet there is a lot of thing about you can get std with just touching skin, with body fluids on hand, from towels, bedsheets etc.

Is there any theoretical or practical chance to get any kind of std on this way? Do I have to get tested in order to know I am 100% clear from infection?

Thank you for your answer in advance.

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question. Your written English is fine!

You didn't have sex with the sex worker, at least not as usually defined. There is no possibility of cartching HIV or any other STD from the events you have described. STDs are not simply genital infections that can be easily transmitted. The bacteria and viruses that cause them evolved to require sex itself -- penis inside vagina, anus, or mouth -- in order to be transmitted.

So all is well, nothing to worry about. No need for testing of any kind.

I hopet this information is helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Dear Professor,

Thank you very much for your quick reply. It is good to know.

That means with touching the body of another person (no genital part) or touching any objects (bathroom stuff), and just after touch my body or penis is impossible to get any infection, right?

I read on internet a bigger amount of body fluid on hand or skin rubbing can be dangerous. It can be enough for an infection?

But as I read your answer actually the transmitting needs a penis + vaginal, anal or oral contact not just hand contact, yes? Mainly not own hand.

Thank you in advance again.

Your last statement is correct:  STDs are not transmitted by hand-genital contact. If your penis did not enter her vagina, anus, or mouth, there was no risk.---
