That means that your IgG test for HSV 2 is negative.  Great news for you.  However, you should know a little bit more about this test.

It misses only 8% of HSV 2 infections AND if you test too soon after a concerning sexual experience, it can be falsely negative.  If you wait 12 weeks from the encounter to be tested, that is as accurate as it is going to be.
