Good morning Dr. Hook, I just wanted to ask you, I just took oraquick and it was negative. If my symptoms that started 4 weeks ago would have been do to ARS, would Oraquick have been positive today or do i need to wait for the 12 weeks? I know my risk was kissing and touching, but i just wanted to ask.
Thanks

I'm sorry you felt the need to ask this repetitive and redundant question.  Please note that before closing out thread a few days ago I stated " Things are getting redundant.  I must warn you that repetitive, anxiety-driven questions may be closed without an answer and without return of your payment in the future. "   This I will briefly answer this question, then close the thread.  The ARS occurs at the time that antibody levels are increasing.  As a result, at the time of ARS symptoms or soon (a few days) thereafter,  antibody tests for HIV are positive.  While an oraquick is not our favorite test if the symptoms you mentioned were due to HIV acquired as a result of the no risk encounter you described, the Oraquick, like other tests would have been positive.  You need to move on.  EWH---
