[Question #5325] Risk of spreading

I few days ago i was making out with someone and he started fingering me i have hsv2 i didnt know i could  transfer it by  letting someone finger me! I was wondering whats the chances of him getting it on his finger? And what if he didn't wash his hands and touched another part of his body ?

Assuming his finger skin is intact, there is no risk of getting herpetic whitlow (herpes on the finger).  Even if he did have a break in the finger skin, it is very very unlikely that the virus would get into his body in this way.  And I have no concerns about him transferring it to other parts of his body, if he did get virus on his finger.  It takes a relatively large amount of virus to infect someone and so much volume of virus is lost when thinking about hands and movement that we, the three of us, are not concerned about transferring virus in this way, not at all.

I was also wondering because im still having the same problem, can a person just experience a rash feeling from herpes and not lesions? And can it go from one side to another? Like i feel burning and itching on the right side then the next episode i feel it on the left, then stabbing pain in the butt. Can this just be a weird case of herpes?

The incident that you describe does not put you at risk of acquiring herpes but I don't know if you might have had herpes in the past, causing these symptoms?  And these symptoms could be completely unrelated to herpes as well.  Have you been tested in the past to know if you were infected previously?

Yes. I sent you a question about that almost a year ago asking what you thought. I was diagnosed 2 years ago through a blood test i went because i had burning and itching never any lesions or flu like symptoms and honestly didn't think it was herpes i just did the test to rule herpes out but it came back positive a high positive. Since then alot of burning and itching with sharp pain but no lesions and ive looked daily. Ive been to so many doctors even an infectious disease specialist and i can tell they're clueless on what to say. The specialist only said for me to be burning like that and have never had a classic "outbreak" doesnt seem to be how typical herpes work but i may be a rare case and herpes typically doesn't move from side to side it mostly affects one area where outbreaks occur from time to time.  I wonder if this is my bodies way of having an outbreak?

What was the index value of your positive IgG test (and I assume that it was an IgG test?)

Yes it was an igg test. When i first found out it was 20.66 then about a month later another igg test was 16.80. I haven't tested again since 2017.

OK, so we know for sure based on these index values that you do have HSV 2.  Whether the symptoms that you describe are due to herpes activity, I cannot say for certain.  You may wish to try a round of antiviral therapy for a few weeks to see if this makes those sensations go away.
