If not I understand I just like the way he words things.

I went over to a guys house he played for the NFL and has to get tested often and he said he was clean. I asked when he had been tested which was a few months ago and he had last had sex a few months ago.

I kissed him all night and then I was about to leave when he made me feel really insecure and obligated to give him a "blow job."

I didn’t want to because I was so scared of herpes. But I somehow ended up on my knees and ahold of his penis in one hand and sucked his penis for 15 seconds. Before getting terrified and leaving.

That night ( and hr after I had just sucked his penis) I took a bath and shaved my pubic area definitely using my hands.

What are the risks of this encounter for catch HSV-2 or 1 orally or Genitally from this situation?

How long does HSV last out side the body or on ones hand for example?

I’m very anxious and scared that I put my health at risk just for pleasuring him a guy that does not even care about me. If there is any logically resonaling to put my mind at ease that would make my

heart stop racing I would be extremely greatful!

Sorry, I answer the herpes question on this forum.

The scenario that you describe presents very very little risk of acquiring herpes or any other STD. HSV 1, if he had it genitally, is rarely shed from the genital area. HSV 2 doesn't like the oral area and has a strong "site preference" for the genital area so I don't think that either of these viruses present much of a risk for transmission to your mouth. Have you ever in your life had a cold sore on your lip? If yes, then you are already infected with HSV 1 orally any way.

You shaving the genital area shortly after this encounter does not present any risk for herpes.

By the way, most STD tests don't include testing for herpes and I doubt that the NFL requires players to test for any STD, much less herpes but I'm not positive about that.

In summary, I am not concerned at all about the encounter that you describe. I'm sorry you felt obliged to give him oral sex, I hope you never feel that way again.

So with the situation I have described how would one (if at all) ever be able to contract hsv 1 or 2 genitally from self infected, as in my hand brought the virus down from my mouth to my vagina, even if (I do realise that this is a Big if) I contracted the HSV that night orally.

So please answer my specific question.

would there need to be a cold sore present to pass the virus?

would is have to be immediate contact as from mouth to hand to genitals?

How long does HSV last out side the body or on ones hand for example? (please answer this one)

I mean I bite my nails sometimes (a lot) and I’m just wondering if like bitting my nails and then using those figures on my vagina could in anyway transmit the virus to my genitals while shaving.

Or is this completely wrong because I would need like an active sore to do this? Because obviously if I had contracted hsv 1 or 2 orally that night this virus would have just been chillin in my mouth not any sores.

Or are you asking if he would have to have a cold sore on his lip to pass it to you through kissing? The answer is no. We know that people give off virus from their mouth even when no cold sore is present.

So now are you asking if you could contract genital HSV from touching an infected mouth (either yours or his) with your hand and then touching your genitals? The answer to that is no. This is not at all a realistic method of transmission

The virus can live minutes off the body but this virus needs to be warm and moist and have human cells to live in. The same is true of an intact hand. And this really isn't the important question about transmission to sort out. In order for transmission to occur, there has to be a certain amount of virus present, and it's not a small amount. Moving the virus from mouth to hand to genitals presents a situation in which virus is lost every step of the way, IF there was ever any virus present to begin with!

No, I don't believe that this is a risk either. I believe that you are significantly overestimating how easy transmission is to occur.

I would ask - did you know at the start of all of this that you were not infected with either type of herpes?
