[Question #5595] Still have questions

Hi Doctors, I have questions below:

1. How could HIV enter penis/vagina without even superficial lession? Is it absorbed by mucus membrane or it needs lession to cause infection?

2. I have told about a small lymph node on my right neck, near Sternocleidomastoid in my first thread with Dr. Handsfield, but maybe he missed up this issue because of my very long story (apologize for that), but still I need more detail about that. I never or maybe not aware of any swollen lymph node in my life except this one when I was experiencing moderate fever and coughing with sputum, I think this is allergy reaction but don't know. The question is, do you think that this has something to do with HIV or maybe allergy or else? If you want, please take a look at my first thread, Thank You so much!

3. What kind of lymph node that make you concern about HIV? My small one lymph node occurred about 6-7 weeks after the first sexual encounter in my life.

4. Is it normal for someone to have small one lymph node occurre at anytime in his life that causes by such allergy, viral respiratory, cold, other than HIV?

Please Dr. Handsfield or Dr. Hook not to close this thread, I really forgot to ask these questions..

Thanks

Additional,
to be clear that the lymph node was occurred on between sterno muscle and jaw, closely to "ear", below and behind the ear.
At that time I can felt pain on my waist, hip, and my GP said that it probably caused by arthritis, and no concern at all.

Hope you can get the picture.

I'm sorry to see you back. Two threads ago, after your second question about the same exposure and related issues, my closing comment included this statement:

"...please note the forum does not permit repeated questions on the same topic or exposure. This will have to be your last one; future new questions about this exposure, testing, and your fears about HIV and other STDs may receive no reply and the posting fee will not be refunded. This policy is based on compassion, not criticism, and to reduce temptations to keep paying for questions with obvious answers. In addition, experience shows that continued answers tend to prolong users' anxieties rather than reducing them. Finally, such questions have little educational value for other users, one of the forum's main purposes. Thanks for your understanding."

Out of compassion, Dr. Hook nonetheless answered your next question. This time very brief replies then immediate closure without opporunity for further discussion. This definitely is your last question on this forum about these issues.

1) Through mucous membranes; lesions increase risk but are not necessary.

2,3) ARS never causes just a single small lymph node enlargement. Only multiple nodes body wide, and always starting within 2 weeks of exposure.

4) Yes, this is entirely normal, experienced by all humans at one time or another.
