Welcome to our Forum and thanks for your question. Congratulations as well on your commitment o safe, condom protected sex, it will do much to keep you sexually healthy.  The event you describe was a no risk event.  Even if your partner had HIV, which is statistically unlikely, getting her vaginal secretions on a cut would not put you at risk for HIV.  This was a no risk event.  for sexual transmission of HIV to occur, a partner's genital secretions must get into your urethra to cause infection.  Your condom prevented this.  Surface contamination of a wound, particularly a shallow wound of the sort you describe is a no risk event.  No need for concern, no need for testing.

I hope this comment is helpful.  EWH

There is nothing to done at this point.  I would add however that your risk for herpes is very low, in part because herpes is not easily transmitted with transmission occurring in far less than 1% of exposures and in part because you used a condom which reduces your risk for infection more than 50% further. If you do not develop lesions of herpes in the 10 days after your exposure, I would not worry. As far as HPV is concerned, as a sexually active male, you have almost certainly already acquired HPV at some point in the past (about 80% of sexually active adults who have not had the HPV vaccine) have HPV.  Further, once again, condoms provide about a 50% reduction in risk for HPV.

Getting the HPV vaccine at this time will not change your risk for infection from past exposures but it will be highly (>98%) effective in preventing future infections with any of the 9 most common HPV types which are in the vaccine,  and which you do not already have.  We recommend it.  The U.S. FDA has now approved the HPV vaccine for adults up to age 45.  It is safe and effective.  Your health insurance may or may not pay for it- the cost is typically n the neighborhood of %500.00 for the  entire series of three injections.

I have already provided you with information on HSV transmission/acquisition rates above- "herpes is not easily transmitted with transmission occurring in far less than 1% of exposures and in part because you used a condom which reduces your risk for infection more than 50% further."

This is my 3rd response to your questions,  therefore, as per Forum Guidelines this thread will now be closed.  EWH
