Doc. Thank you once again. I have a follow up and want to clear something up. The incident I wrote to you here happened in november before thanksgiving. The situation was that i received a bj with a condom on and I took it off because nothing was happening. I put the same condom back on and had anal. It did not appear to break. I actually did not know the status of the person. Regardless, i tested as stated before and it was negative as you can see. Additionally, a month from now I got a massage. The woman put the condom on with her mouth and we finished. Since november until now, I have not had any symptoms. My concern is that my girlfriend just started have abdominal pain and started bleeding. She did get a slight fever. She went to the doctor and they want to do a ct scan today. She did have a major surgery in dec of 2018. It was for the removal of fibroids. I want your opinion to see if you think this is a std and it it could have came from these to events. Thank you for everything.

Welcome back, but sorry you found it necessary. I reviewed your two other discussions with Dr. Hook a few months ago, about this same exposure and HIV testing. There's really nothing more to say about the exposure last November: that exposure was low risk and your test results showed conclusively you did not catch HIV.
The exposure a month ago also was no risk. As should have been clear from your previous discussion, there is never any risk for sexual transmission of HIV if a bare penis (no condom) does not enter another person's vagina or rectum. Oral sex is no risk for HIV even without a condom. Your partner's clever condom placement with her mouth doesn't create any signficiant risk. As for your girlfriend, uterine fibroids are not sexually transmitted and have nothing to do witih your other sexual exposures. In fact, her fibroids also had to start long before those events: it takes a few years for fibroids to grow large enough to cause problems, so she had them long before last November, probably for years.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

I wanted to know about other std. I know I am clear for HIV. I wanted to know if this issue is due to another std. You opinion of catching something else from these two events. I understand in theory is low risk, but realistically since condom were used. I wamt to know about time lines for other stds. Do they behave in this way. I understand about the fibroids not being an std. Thanks doc.

What do you mean by "this issue"? I already said your partner's fibroid problem definitely is not an STD and you don't mention any other symptoms in either you or your partner. The events described were nearly zero risk for all STDs, in addition to HIV. But if you would like additional reassurance, of course you are free to visit a clinic or doctor for STD evaluation, including urine testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea and a syphilis blood test. From all you say, I am confident these tests would be negative -- and even if positive, would not have anything to do with your partner's fibroids.

I am sorry I came across rudely. Please forgive me. Her operation was in december 2018. She started having abdominal pain and bleeding this week. My question is if the two events have anything to do with these symptoms or would/could it be something else or the operation in december of 2018. I would like to know if this could be std related from the two events. I am thinking to oral a month ago is not. Would an std show up like this 9 month later? Once again, I am very sorry for my rudeness. I am a big admirer of you and Dr H.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't see any rudeness, just maybe uncertainty. Thanks for your kind words about our services.
Abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding sometimes are symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), the main complication of gonorrhea and chlamydia. However, these are far less likely than something related to her previous surgery. And you were at little or no risk for either of these STDs, and oral infections are rarely if ever transmitted to women's genitals by oral sex. She obviously needs to see her doctor, which apparently is in the works. In the event PID is diagnosed, it will be necessary for her and you to be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. But that seems unlikely.

Yes, my gf and I have been having intercourse since november. I also think these two diseases are unlikely. She did have a pap msear in the beginning of august. All came back normal. I dont know what they actually check for. She did go to the doctor and she said they did deep her pee two days ago. I dont know what tjis actually means. At the time, she did not have bleding. She said her leg feels tingly like before the surgery. She only has blleding and no discharge. I was thinking since the anal and oral in noverbember were both protected and the oral last month was also protected, it would be very unlikely to be an std. Would you agree? Thanks for everything doc.

Probably you mean "dip" her urine, i.e. a dipstick urinalysis. That checks for non-STD urinary tract infections and other problems, but not STDs, but I don't think that matters. "Tingling" in the leg is not an STD symptom. Absence of vaginal discharge also favors something other than an STD. I agree with your closing statements. Your partner's symptoms have nothing to do with your outside sexual events.
That concludes this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful.
