Good morning doctors.please don't delete I really need your help On 8/25 I had I exposure when the lady took the condom of and for half a thurs I told her to stop at a massage parlor. On 9/19 I went to Kaiser and got tested for chaymida/gonorrhea and ag/ab hiv test all came back negative. So it being 25 post exposure instead 28 days for hiv test.At 28 days 99% of people would test positive is there a huge difference between 25 and 28 days please help

Welcome back to the Forum.  I'm sorry that you continue to worry about the low risk event that we discussed before,  There are o good data that we have on a day-by day basis but there is little difference between the positivity rates at day 25 as opposed to day 29.  I am confident that you will be fine.  EWH---

You have to make your own decision and do what will address your doubts.  I am confident you did not get HIV and if I were you I would not test further related to this encounter.  EWH---

This will be my final response.  As per Forum Guidelines, we provide up to three responses to each client's questions.  This is my 3rd response.  Further, I want to warn you that further repetitive, anxiety-driven questions on this exposure may result in your thread being closed without a response.

Your doctor and I disagree.  His recommendation is more conservative than mine, perhaps reflecting his understanding of older tests which did take longer than currently available tests to provide conclusive results.

End of thread.  Please don't worry.  EWH
