[Question #6344] Hand Job - Worried about HIV and Herpes

Went to a prostitution place in bombay india. It was clean. I asked for bedsheet to be changed

- They said they change Sheet but look little worn out. overall clean.

- No intercourse. Only hand job.

- I am uncircumcised

- Girl asked me to use condom and said I cannot leak on her anywhere. She asked me to wear condom before even taking her clothes off.

- Used condom for handjob and gave girl hand sanitizer to rub hand before touching my penis (penis was in condom

)- I also used hand sanitzer for my hands.

- I kissed her stomach and around breast (Not nipple). Did not lick or suck anything. Did not kiss on lips or her private part

- I was naked she was wearing panties. She very briefly fell on me. I dont think my penis rub her private area (She was wearing panty and I was wearing condom)

- She gave me handjob and squeezed my scrotum lightly and I came in condom. She told me to throw condom in bin. I barely open bin using my condom so my hand does not touch bin rim.- Girl said she get tested every 3 months

- Feets were on bare floor did not feel any liquid on floor (worried I had pimple on side of toe)

- Rubbed hand sanatizer 10 mins later after I came in condom

I think I am being paranoid. But requesting help to calm me fears.

1. My tension is could I have gotten HIV or Herpes from this situation

2. Could I have gotten it from the bed sheet if it was not changed or napikins(did not look like they were used),

3. Lifting metal garbage with plastic rim to throw condom and I saw some condom and tissues inside. Worried if little fluid touch my index finger. Even though I tried to be careful and I think i rubbed my finger on napkin and clean my penis with more napkins

4. Kissing the chest area (I did NOT kiss or suck or lick nipples, lips or her private parts nothing else)

5. last feet on floor worried if any fluids near my toe pimple which is dry and the floor did not seem wet

6. Do I need HIV or Herpes Test.

Thanks for your help. I guess it was my first time little tension. I think I am being paranoid but wanted an expert opinion to make feel calm

Your comment "I think I am being paranoid" says a lot. Indeed you are overly worried about a situation that carried no risk of HIV or any other STD. Your numbered statements/questions largely have a single answer: STDs and HIV are simply not transmitted if there is no intercourse. Without a bare penis (no condom) inside a partner's vagina, rectum, or mouth, there is no risk. To your specific comments/questions:

1-3) Absolutely no risk.

4) None of these infections is transmitted by kissing or by mouth contact anywhere on the body except the genital area (and even that is very low risk).

5) It would not matter if the floor were contaminated with infected body fluids. This sort of thing does not transmit STD.

6) There is no need to be tested for HIV, herpes, or any other infection.

I hope these comments do as you wish -- indeed they should make you feel calm and entirely unworried.

Thanks for the clarification and taking the time to help me calm my fears. I just had few concerns that I wanted to clear about Herpes and HIV.

1. Regarding 4) None of these infections is transmitted by kissing or by mouth contact anywhere on the body except the genital area (and even that is very low risk).

- Would any risk be if the body had a scar or a cut if I had kissed it, dont remember if it had. I never went below the stomach nor kiss the lips.

2. If touching the garbage bin if any fluid had touch my finger and I mistakley touch my penis when cleaning with napkin would that be a risk.

3. Regarding 5) It would not matter if the floor were contaminated with infected body fluids. This sort of thing does not transmit STD.

- So if I have a pimple on the side of leg that deflated and became a dry cut I was worried that it could get infected. Eventhough the floor did not seem to have fluid.

4. I do have one last worry. Eventhough I didnt notice but if their was any body fluid or saliva left on chest area and i kissed it would I need to worry.

!. No risk even if kiss was of a healing or open wound. The mouth is almost never a source of HIV (which is why oral sex is safe). Saliva kills HIV.

2. You're thinking of outlandish, unlikely scenarios. Obviously this would not be likely to happen. If it did, there still would be no risk. When a man has unprotected vaginal sex with an infected women, with the penis exposed in the vagina for several minutes, the chance he will catch HIV is around 1 in 2,500. Therefore, what can it possibly be with the trivial sort of exposure described here?

3. True, pimples or wound on your feet would make no difference.

4. Just as the mouth and saliva rarely transmit HIV, the mouth and swallowing are not highly susceptible to HIV. Giving an HIV infected man oral sex and swallowing his semen has an average infection risk of 1 chance in 10,000. That's equivalent to giving oral to infected men once daily for 27 years before infection might be likely. So once again, what could the risk happen to be if your mouth came into brief contact with infected material? Zero, that's what.

Your questions indicate you are prone to imagine various scenarios that seem to be risky, no matter how unlikely those scenarios might be. Try to limit that temptation. I won't answer any more such questions. You are definitely not at risk for HIV if you do not have unprotected vaginal or anal sex. There is no point in asking about any other types of exposure. OK?
