[Question #6489] Penile Prosthesis

I had a implant in Feb 2019. My age is 69. Since then I have a difficult time getting to a climax when I masturbate. It has taken me as little as 45 minutes up to 180 minutes to climax. This is a problem for me. I haven't had sex with a woman since the implant. I do not know if I will reach a climax faster when I do. I suspect I will. If I can't shorten the time of course that's a problem. Why do I have this problem now and what can I do to improve the situation?

Welcome to our Forum. I will make a comment but I must also point out that your question is a bit out of our area of expertise (i.e. sexually transmitted infections). You do not mention how long it took to climax before your implant but if this is significantly longer than before surgery, my guess is that this may reflect post-surgical neurological changes. The right person to ask is a urologist, preferably the one who did your surgery.
In terms of what might happen with a female partner, I will point out that, as a generalization, climax occurs more rapidly following receipt of oral sex than with vaginal sex.
I hope these comments are helpful but again, I think these questions are more appropriately directed to your urologist. EWH
