[Question #6517] Follow up to previous

Hey Terri, you asked me a follow up but the question got closed =( .. most encounters were with condoms. If it was without it was a one time thing. I’m confused when you said “everything you said is true” then capitalized “CAN” are you saying it’s likely for this to happen or just that it’s possible? Can you clarify that part? I’m scared what you said about the cashews, do you still think I shouldn’t worry about herpes from all of this, and should get tested for my own piece of mind and so that I can request my partners get tested? Or do you think I should because it’s likely I’ve contracted herpes?  I’ve never had any classic symptoms btw, just the anal fissure that I randomly thought about that I’ve had. Thanks.

I am saying that is possible for people with direct rectal contact to have outbreaks at the rectum.
You are scared what I said about the cashews, that they wouldn't come out in one piece to scratch your rectum?  I can't think why that would be scary.
I don't think you have herpes but if you cannot stop worrying about it, then antibody testing may help you not to worry any more.  That's all

Sorry I guess I was reading into it too much. Maybe there was some typos .. you’re saying it can(possible) happen but isn’t likely with no contact?

Okay thanks Terri, I’m sorry for the rambling, health anxiety is an area of my life I’ve always struggled with. I tend to extrapolate.. every bump is a wart, every pimple is herpes etc.. but I’ve just never heard of any friends or anything having anal fissure, I read it’s somewhat common at my age tho, and hard stools make it worse so, I think my concern is out of proportion

Perhaps a bit out of proportion, but you can write to me any time that you have worries, I'm here for you.
