[Question #6723] HIV RISKS FROM UNPROTECTED BLOWJOB AND UNPROTECTED HANDJOB WITH SCRATCHED PINES

Hi,

Last week I visited with friends strip club and got some lap dances.

Because of pines eraction and the aggressive lap dances,
my pines was exposed outside of the underwear during the lap dances.

During the agressive Lap dances the jeans zipper was opened.
The exposed pines was rubbed with the opened jeans zipper during lap dances.
It caused multiple scratches on pines.
The scratches were not bleeding,
but they really left some scratch marks on the pines which could be clearly seen on the pines.

After the lap dances were finished
I went with one of the strippers to the private room,
she gave me unprotected handjob(no condom) for 2 minute and than
gave me unprotected blowjob(no Condom) for another 2 minute and
than we had another unprotected handjob(no condom) for 1 minute afterwhich I finished.
All these sexual activities were done after lap dances with the presence of the scratches on pines from open zipper.

My questions are the following regarding HIV risks from the 3 different sexaul activities:

1. The stripper had some vaginal fluid on her hand during handjob.
This is because she fingered herself just before the handjob.
My question is if getting the unprotected handjob for 2 minute without condom put me in HIV
risk because there was contact between the multiple scratches from open zipper on pines and
vaginal fluid on the stripper's hands?

2. My 2nd question is if getting the unprotected blowjob for 2 minute without condom put me in HIV risk
because of possible contact between the multiple scratches on pines from open zipper and
possible blood/wound in the stripper's mouth?

I would appreciate your answers and professional explanations for my 2 questions.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your confidence in our services.

My first comment responds to the title of your question, before looking further. There has never been a proved case of HIV transmitted mouth to penis or by hand-genital contact, with or without a "scratched penis". Unless there is a big surprise when I read the details, I'm confident you were not at risk for HIV and not infected.

Now I have read the rest. Guess what? These were zero risk events in regard to HIV, even if the stripper has HIV, which probably she did not. In the US and most industrialized countries, HIV is quite rare in strilppers, female sex workers, and other very sexually active women.

Oral sex carries little or no risk for HIV partly because saliva inhibits or kills HIV. As noted above, there has never been a proved case of oral to penis transmissioin, even though some men believed that was the source of their infection. That doesn't mean it can't occur, but it is extremely rare. CDC has estimated a risk of 1 in 20,000. That's equivalent to receving BJs by infected partners once daily for 55 years before HIV transmission might be expected. However, oral sex does risk other STDs, especially gonorrhea and herpes due to HSV type 1. Both are unlikely from any one exposure, but be on the lookout for blisters/sores of your penis in the next 1-2 weeks (herpes) or penile discharge (gonorrhea), and consider having a urine test for gonorrhea.

And HIV cannot be transmitted through clothing, I suppose a scratch deep enough to bleed could create small risk, but even then your penis would have to be in direct contact with the stripper's vaginal area. Red scratch marks do not suggest increased risk. There has never been an HIV tranmission by hand-genital contact, even if genital fluids are used for lubrication.

Bottom line:  You were not at risk for HIV and do not need testing for it. However, you may want to consider having a urine test for gonorrhea.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Hi DR. Hunter Handsfield,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Just to make sure I understand your answers and HIV risks for my incident and for general knowlage for future events.

I would summerize and say :

1.     Generally unprotected blowjobs are negiligible HIV risks and unprotected handjobs are no HIV risks .
But these 2 sexual activities can carry risks for other STDs.
2.     Regarding the scratches on pines from open zipper :
As long as these scratches on pines from open zipper are superficial and not active bleeding(like my incident),
there is no increase with HIV risk with unprotected blowjobs and unprotected handjobs.
Because supefical scratches on pines can't enable access for HIV to bloodstream,
HIV risks still remais negligible for unprotected blowjobs and none for unprotected handjobs
with these superficial scrathes on pines.
3.     Only if the scratches on pines from open zipper are open and active bleeding there is an increase in HIV risks
with unprotected blowjobs and unprotected handjobs when coming direct contact with blood or vaginal fluids.
4.     Of course in order to prevent HIV infectioin, condom is a must
for every vaginal intercourse with or without scratched pines
          .

I would be glad if you can reassure that my conclusions are correct.

Thank you for your asisstance.

Best Regards,

Tamir

1. Only the oral sex carries STD risk. Hand jobs do not.

2. Correct -- no risk.

3. Even open and bleeding scratches would be no significant risk.

4. Correct.

That completes the two follow-up exchanges included with each question and so ends this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful.
