Dear Sir,
Here comes my HIV test result updated.
60days Ag/Ab 4th generation : negative
70days Ag/Ab 4Th generation : negative
I am still concerned about my fist CBC test comes odd sir
As I mentioned before my white blood cell and thrombocyte were very low and came back normal after few later.
I feel like I am already infected HIV but still waiting to be positive result near soon.
At the moment, I have extreme fatigue, muscle pain from armpit, leg and neck, lost 3-4kg weight / waste.
I truly understand you have to give same direction to everyone for sure but do you REALLY feel same to my situation sir..?
I have a quick question sir
As you know, if I am infected HIV, I should have tested positive so much earlier from now since 4th generation detects both Ag and Ab.
but my test result comes out negative which means I don't have antigen on my body or not enough antigen or antigen has already disappeared right?
I have got tested from 3rd week only 4th generation test since now. is it possible to be have detectable amount of Antigen later than 70days or HIV test itself couldn't detect because of lack of sensitivity Or I am not 100 percent infected.?
Do you recommend PCR test at the moment?
please advise sir,
thank you.

It saddens me to see that you have returned to the Forum with these questions after Dr. Handsfield finished your interaction with him by saying "Your blood tests for HIV show that any health problem you have, including your CBC and blood glucose test results, have nothing to do with HIV. " On this occasion I happened to pick up your question but have reviewed your earlier interaction with Dr. Handsfield and completely agree with all that he said. Your do not have HIV and to be allowing modest non-specific changes in your WBC and platelet count to make you doubt the far more specific results of your multiple tests for HIV is faulty thinking. The blood counts are non-specific variables which fluctuate a great deal due to a great deal of different causes. You have repeatedly proven that you do not have HIV.
Your results are entirely conclusive and do not need to be repeat. You do not need a PCR test to prove this. You do not have HIV.
If you are unable to believe your test results, then my sincere advice is to seek professional counseling to help you sort out why you continue to worry and have trouble accepting your results - guilt, other? I offer this advice out of concern for you, nothing more.
At the same time, we do not permit repetitive, anxiety-driven calls. When this thread is closed, there will be no further questions regarding your symptoms and test results related tot he exposure you have described. Again, this decision is made out of concern for you, nothing more. EWH

with all due respect. I believe you are unrealistically inflating your risk and the likelihood that you are infected. As I said eraly, your results are ENTIRELY conclusive. Not 98 or 99%, completely and should be believed. Please do not let any guilt or anxiety you may have over your past behaviors interfere with good judgement and medical facts. you are not infected!!!.
In answer to your specific questions:
1. You are correct. At 10 weeks the performance of 3rd and 4th generation tests for HIV is equivalent. In untreated persons p24 antigen will usually still be present but not always, depending on complex interactions with antibodies. The tests however will always be positive.
2. As I said above, for 4th generation tests the figure for untreated test positivity after 6 weeks is not 98-99%, it is 100%!. Your results are definitive. You do not have HIV. . EWH

both results are conclusive. Repeating a test once eliminates the infinitesimal risk that a lab error was made. Please, please believe your test results.
As you have acknowledged, this will be my final response to this question. Should you return with further questions on this encounter, as I told you in my original response -"we do not permit repetitive, anxiety-driven calls. When this thread is closed, there will be no further questions regarding your symptoms and test results related tot he exposure you have described. Again, this decision is made out of concern for you, nothing more."
End of thread. EWH
