[Question #6824] Worried about massage parlour incident

Hi Respected dr
about 29 days ago i had an incident where i visited a massage parlour in Australia and got a massage with a handjob from a Chinese girl, the reason for my concern is that she was touching my penis whilst i was lying down by reaching from under me, a little while after that she had told me to turn around on the massage table and completed the hand job, after ejaculation she cleaned me and told me to lie back down on my stomach. I was not concerned about her hand bleeding during the massage however after the massage when she turned the lights on i noticed some black marks on the towel i was lying down on specifically in the region that my penis was touching and it occurred to me that her hand could have been bleeding whilst masturbating me as the black marks could possibly be dried blood.
I know that this may be far fetched and it could just be my OCD getting the better of me
1) could you evaluate my risk and do i need testing for this incident ?
2) if i do decide to get tested at the 6 week mark (mainly for piece of mind) with a gen 4 test in an australian lab is this conclusive for both hiv 1 and 2 ?

Welcome to our Forum and thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to comment.
1) could you evaluate my risk and do i need testing for this incident ?
This was a no risk event. You do not know the HIV status of the masseuse and statistically it is unlikely that she has HIV. Even if she did, receipt of masturbation is considered safe sex. This is the case even if the person performing the masturbation has an open lesion or bleeding wound on their hand- still no risk.
2) if i do decide to get tested at the 6 week mark (mainly for piece of mind) with a gen 4 test in an australian lab is this conclusive for both hiv 1 and 2 ?
I see no need for testing although I do understand that you may choose to do so for peace of mind. if you choose to test, a six week result will be conclusive both for HIV-1 and HIV-2.
I hope that this information is helpful. Please don't worry. EWH

I'm sorry, not sure what is meant by the term "flu jab" however, neither taking a flu medication of a test for fly would interfere with test results in any way. The only thing that might effect such tests would be medications specifically intended to be used for treatment or prevention of HIV. I hope this addresses your question. EWH
