[Question #6866] I have HPV and I'm scared my partner has it too because of me

Hello,
First of all, I'm not a native English speaker so sorry for any mistakes in my question. Secondly, thank you for providing this service.
In march 2019 I got HPV and chlamydia from a person and I am 100% sure I got these STD's from that particular person. I was cured from chlamydia after medication. In July, warts appeared on my vagina. My doc said that this is a result of a low risk HPV strain (this was the moment I found out about the HPV). After medication I got cured in August 2019 and since that time it never came back. So I am 8 months warts-free.
However, in February 2020 I went to the doc because I wanted to make sure if I didn't catch a high risk strain of HPV. Due to my anxiety I just had to be sure. The sample said that I have a high risk HPV strain 33. I do not have other STD's. After this result, a pap smear was taken to see if I had any cell changes, the result came back and my pap was normal. I have to come back again in 6 months to see if it still didn't affect any cells.
I met a guy last month and we are currently in a serious relationship. He gave me oral sex and also put my vaginal mucus in his mouth. We did not have normal sexual intercourse (penis in the vagina) but he 'teased' with his penis on my clitoris a bit. He doesn't know about my HPV and I don't want to tell it to him and scare him, but now I am really scared for him that I gave him HPV.
Question 1: As well as I understood, the high risk HPV rarely causes cancer in men, but is there a possibility that because of my low strain HPV he will get genital warts? Even if my warts cured a long time ago? I understood it can lay in the body for a long time, but I don't have any symptoms now. How high is the risk that because of our act he will get HPV and warts will shown? (both high and low risk)
Question 2: My next pap smear is in 6 months. How likely is the chance that my body cleared the HPV and won't cause any cell damage in my cervix?
Thank you very much in advance..

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your question. Your English is fine and your questions are clear. Following treatment of your warts and the fact that they have not recurred 8 months later there is no need to worry about transmission to partners. In answer to your specific questions:
1. It is very unlikely that your partner will get warts or HPV from the events that you describe.
2. The chances are high that your body will have cleared the HPV 33 infection that was detected and that your PAP smear will be normal.
Clearly you are concerned about HPV, perhaps more than you need to be. For most people HPV infections are innocuous problems which resolve without problems. Should problems occur, they are typically detected through regular check ups and can be managed. If you really want to put your concerns behind you however, my advice is to look into getting the HPV vaccine. The vaccine is highly effective for the 9most common types of HPV and we’ll tolerated.
