[Question #7062] Lap dance rash below chest

I posted a week or so ago post #7024.   Dr handsfield was gracious and out my mind at ease that I had zero risk from a lap dance.  Day 15 I developed this rash right below my chest in the upper middle of stomach. It’s pink And flat, doesn’t really itch and is localized to This one area right below my chest.   Of course I google and I see ARS rash.  I do not have a fever or any other symptoms yet.  Now I’m in major panic mode.  My anxiety is quite bad.  Dr hands friend made it clear my lap dance which involved me wearing shorts and boxers underneath was no   Risk.  The stripper was completely nude and grinding on my penis and there was moisture.    I google hiv are rash and I get so many mixed answers.  I did not want to post again but This rash appeared out of no where .  It is small and localized and pink.  One spot that is about the size of Small pepple
But flat and then some tiny pink raised hive like bumps 3 or 4 size of a very tiny pimple

Welcome back, but sorry you found it necessary.

Rash is rarely if ever the only symptom of ARS. And ARS rash doesn't involve such a small area. The usual symptoms are sore throat, fever, and enlarged lymph nodes, often with rash that typically causes red spots body wide. Even if you had all these symptoms, I would still advise that something other than ARS is the cause.

Beyond that, I cannot even guess at the cause of your rash. But I remain confident you could not have acquired HIV from the exposure described and that your description of the rash doesn't fit ARS. All I can suggest is that you see a doctor if you remain concerned about it. Perhaps it will also help you to know this fact. Since I and then Dr. Hook started a previous forum 16 years ago (April 2004) then continued this one, with thousands of questions by people concerned about catching HIV, not one person has proved to have been infected. You won't be the first. If and when that finally happens, it surely will be in someone with a traditional high risk exposure, not something like your strip club experience.

I hope these comments help reassure you. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

So is it safe to say this is not ars.  I haven’t left out any detail of the lap dance it was just a 3 minute nude lap dance and I had shorts on.   I don’t ever get rashes and I don’t know if it is the new climate living to Florida or anxiety.  I have no idea.  All I know is it’s making me extremely nervous and only your reassurance can ease that.   I see what you said I put since 2004.   The timing of the rash is just what got me.

I’ve read many forums
Including Poz and they all say no one ever has been infected form a lap dance.   All this reassuring info and I my mind still says rash=hiv ars.    Last time I posted a year or so ago you said I was zero risk and I moved on.  And I did that this time as well, but then
This weird pink rash came on upper stomach

I’ve read many of your responses to
Other people in reference to rash and you seem to always  say that the rash always accompanies high fever.   Since I have the rash would i have the fever already?  Or that can develop in the days to come.  I’m also in day 16 since, and I read you say that ars is 10 to 14 days? Rare past that point?  Sorry for the many responses.   The fear is just getting to
Me.  You told me I had no risk last week and I moved on.   Ow this pink rash on upper and side belly freaked me out.   I guess it’s sad I need your reassurance again but here I am.  Thank you as always for your time

I see no new questions in any of these three follow-up comments. I have no additional advice.

You have one follow-up comment coming, after which the thread will be closed. Because repeated questions on the same topic are not permitted, this is your last question about your strip club adventure and your rash (or any other symptoms). So think carefully if you have any final questions or concerns. Thanks.

My question was fever and if it can occur after rash or does it all happen the same day.   And is 16 days pushing it as far as ars goes.   I’ve read dr hook write within 30 days and you write usually 10-14 days.   I have generalized anxiety disorder and I can tell I’m
Kind of annoying you, as I do to many others when I’m Anxious.   Again, thank you for your time.   I just want to move on from
