Thanks for your times sir
For my last exposure before one year I didn’t do test for hcv and syphilis
Just hiv combo after 50 days which is came negative, and i was concerned on hiv and i did many rapid test kits in home for hiv which is negative and also Oraquick after one year two times, i did also hcv hbsag syphilis rapid test two times its came negative
According to last answer of Dr.HHH about hair fall he said best way to exclude syphilis to do blood test , i ordered 2 kits of syphilis rapid test its came back negative
1-is that enough to exclude syphilis
2- Two times Oraquick test is enough to conclusive result

Welcome to our Forum.  You do not provide detail about your exposures so my comments must be rather general.

Syphilis is a relatively rare infection and the fingerstick tests for syphilis is quite accurate.  I would not worry about syphilis.

As for HIV, the Oraquiick tests are slightly less sensitive than currently available blood tests but eith two negative Oraquick tests taken more than 50 days after an exposure I would not worry about HIV.

I hope that this information is helpful to you.  If anything is unclear, you have up to two follow up questions to seek clarification.  EWH

Thanks Dr.EWH
My exposure with sex worker female vaginal with using condom I don’t know it’s good but i think I did not catch any fluid frome here in Dubai before one year , after that by 6 days oral sex unprotected
I did after 28 days from oral sex and 33 days from vaginal sex protected this tests
hbsag 0.03 non reactive
Hiv1&2 antibody non reactive
After 50 days form oral and 55 from sex
Combo hiv test non reactive 0.53
But I afraid from hiv2 for that i did many rapid test in home which is CE marketed in Europe
Finally I did 2 Oraquick test after one year since it’s approved
Me and my wife we noticed fall in hair
So i explained that and Dr.hunter advised me to do syphilis test and I did it in home by 2 kits which is came negative
1- for hbsag is the time enough or I should repeat it in lab?
2- is it enough for hcv to test in home by using 2 different test kits ?

Thanks for the additional information.  The exposures you describe are very low risk and tour test results for HIV, syphilis Abd hepatitis Band C are conclusively negative.  You were not infected during the encounters you describe.  The VDRL test would detect all active Syphilis acquired more than six weeks earlier.

You are in the clear.  There are many reasons for hair loss and Syphilis is a rare cause.  There is no reason for continuing concern about any STI and no reason for further testing.  EWH

Thank you so much Dr , really I can’t find words to describe the great job you are doing for helping people to correct the old information about STD , and I want to tell you sir in my country there’ are doctors finally give  6 weeks as conclusive result for combo test and 9 days for pcr or naat analysis, I hope for you and Dr. hunter a good life and thanks so much sir

Thank you, the guidelines used in your country are similar to those that we use as well.  Many experts do suggest that a negative PCR result be confirmed using a combination HIV antigen-antibody test 4-6 weeks following the PCR test.  EWH---
