[Question #7142] Follow up needed?

hello,

Over a year and some months ago I had an encounter where a guy was masterbating and stuck his finger in my rectum. I cannot confirm or deny if precum was present but just assume so. After wards I had some blood spotting when i wiped with a tissue.   Stressed on and off about this episode for year and finally orderd an oraquick test from Amazon and tested negative. However, im not sure the conclusively of these results as i read varying information of their accuracy. Looking for a second opinion. Stressed out. Thank you.

Welcome to our Forum.  Thanks for your question.  I’ll be glad to comment.  The activities you describe are safe sex.  Your partner was masturbating and then proceeded to perform anal master action on you.  Masturbation is safe sex and there are no proven cases of HIV due to mutual masturbation.  The blood noted on your toilet paper does not change this assessment. There is no risk for HIV and only theoretical risk for other STIs.  No reason for concern, no reason for testing.

The Oraquick test is a good test bot slightly less sensitive than blood tests, particularly soon after exposure.  Your results using this test now, a year following your encounter are reliable.

No reason for concern, no reason for testing.  I hope these comments are helpful.  If there are further questions or any of my comments are unclear please feel free to use your follow up questions for clarification.  EWH
