[Question #7151] Drunked involved in frottage

Hi ,

I have visited a bar in Dubai 4 days ago.  Was drunked but was in senses.  I picked up a African girl,  she said she is new in club and works in spa.  I have a curiosity and fascination towards black girls.  We ended up at her place.  Since I just wanted an experience with black girl and not full sex.  We started drinking and touching each other. Eventually we both were naked.  Since penetrative sex was not in my mind.  I started fingering her vagina and ass and she stroking my penis.  I rubbed my BARE penis on her Bare vagina,  she was wet and it ended up me getting a hand job from her. I started fooling again and I noticed small blood in her vagina, she mentioned she just finished her periods that evening. Also I noticed she put a new band-aid on her thumb she said she cut herself in kitchen that morning .

A bit about myself. I am 29 years old
My foreskin is tightly attached with the tip of penis.. Uncircumcised,  it simply cannot be pulled down.  I am very cautious always and never had penetrative sex without condom with strangers

I have read alot on Medhelp community and expert forum (Dr hook and Dr HH advice) Medhelp community says that only penetrative sex without condom is risk. Rest nothing is risk as Air deactivates virus in fluids/blood immediately when it is out of body.

Still to move forward I thought I ll hear it from experts myself regarding this exposure.

1) Rubbing bare penis on bare vagina is HIV risk or Risk free (even if vaginal fluids and blood if present)
2) Hand job with cut thumb with vaginal fluids or blood if present would be HIV risk or risk free  ( for this I checked at home by putting a drop of water on erect penis tip it was not going inside)
3) if above two are no risk then only condom less sex would be risk and rest all other non penetrative sex will be HIV free.
I wrote on Medhelp and been advised of no risk whatsoever.

I feel I am not at risk and no need to test, do u think it is right thinking or my overconfidence.

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your questions and thanks for your confidence in our service. I’ll be glad to comment. First let me give you the primary answer.. The encounter you describe put you at no risk for HIV. No reason for concern, no reason for testing. Now let me provide you with a little more detail:

, It is unlikely that the woman you were with had HIV. HIV is quite rare in the United Arab Emirates, than two cases per thousand persons.  Few women, even women who may be commercial sex workers, have HIV.  Even more importantly however is that the activities you describe did not put you at risk. The technical term for rubbing your genitals together without penetration is called frottage. Frottage is a form of masturbation and there is no risk for HIV from masturbation. Secondly the fact that she had a cut on her finger was also a no risk event . For all practical purposes, while people talk about the theoretical possibility of HIV being transmitted through small cuts or abrasions, the practical fact is this not does not occur. There are no reported cases or scientific studies which suggest that contact of this sort is a meaningful risk factor for acquiring HIV. Thus her rubbing your penis with a hand which may have add genital secretions or small amounts of blood on it was also a no risk event.

I see no reason for concern related to the activities you describe and no need for HIV testing from a scientific basis. I hope that the information I have provided is helpful to you. If there are further questions or anything is unclear Please do not hesitate to use your up to to follow up questions for clarification.

Take care. EWH

Great!! Thank you Doctor Edward for the detailed explanation.  I am already feeling so much better. Just a quick confirmation and the last one.

1) During Frottage and Hand job, even  Penis tip (uthera and foreskin)  rubbed on vagina or her cut finger  ( even fluids and blood if at all present)  still no HIV risk.? Uncircumcised makes no difference here

2) Only penetrative sex(penis in vagina or ass)  would be at risk and other form of sex are not risk for HIV.

It might sound repetitive questions or statement , but first time I have not used condom because I was sure I wasn't going to penetrate, so little nervous or rather was..  After your explanation I am feeling much better

These are a bit repetitive but I’m glad to confirm that you have correctly summarized my comments.  I understand that you may be anxious.

1.  Correct.  Being uncircumcised makes no difference.  Still no risk.

2. Correct
