Surprise contacts of this sort (I will not call it an exposure, I do not believe there is meaningful risk) quite naturally increase our concern and awareness of possible symptoms or abnormal sensations. I suspect that is the origin of the wetness you are experiencing. (BTW, most STIs occurring at the rectum are asymptomatic). I doubt that the wetness you have noted reflects the presence of an STI). As I believe you know, we provide up to three answers to clients. This is my 3rd response. Thus this reply will complete the thread and there will be no further response.
Confirming your summary. If you had rectal gonorrhea (you don't) the infection would not travel to other sites such as your penis or mouth and in that way be transmissible to your wife.
Gonorrhea, when present is easily cured with medications.
I'm sorry your guilt and anxiety caused you to seek the testing in the way you did. From your description there was no scientific or medical reason for concern.
