Welcome to the Forum. We get many questions of this sort. The activity you engaged in is a form of masturbation and masturbation is safe sex in terms of risk for HIV and other STIs. This is the case even if you have a fresh cut on your finger at the time you masturbated your partner. There are no cases of HIV which have been acquired by masturbating a partner despite that fact that this has been carried out with HIV infected persons millions and millions of times and in many cases by persons with cuts on their fingers or problems with their nail cuticles- still no risk.
In your case, not only was your masturbation of a partner a no risk activity but in Houston, the fact that your partner was if unknown status means that statistically there is almost no risk that she had HIV.
Please do not worry about this event. There is no reason for concern and no reason for testing related to this event. EWH

If you read this entire thread, you will note that this person did have penetrative sex with his partner. You will also note that in that post both Dr. Handsfield and I said that we had never seen another case where there was possible infection resulting from masturbation. that is still the case. Further, the CDC and other authoritative sources continue to list mutual masturbation as safe sex. If this person was infected by the exposure he mentioned, it was from penetration, not masturbation.
Our Forum guidelines call for up to three replies to each question. This is your 4th reply. There will be no more replies and the thread will be closed later this evening. EWH
