[Question #7563] Hsv2
|
Hello. I am a 55 year old male. I've had herpes for 35 years. I recently had a full panel test. I am curious about my Hsv2 level and what it means. I tested IgG 23.60. Can you tell me how that number relates to the level of hsv in my body and or transmission risk ? I've been on valacyclovir since my panel results. Which has been about three months.

Oh my, don't know how I missed this question but I"m so sorry.
Your result simply means that you have a well established HSV 2 infection, nothing more. It has nothing to do with viral load or transmission risk at all.
