Dears Dr

I am male 42 years

I make sex with sex workers in Dubai February 2019 I put 2 condom in the same time to have extra protect because I scared

The girl give oral sex without condom for 1 minute

And then we make vagina sex for 1 minute I was put to condom

After 5 months I make hiv antibody test I take the result after one hour was negative because me and my wife we plan to have new child

And she get pregnant so I start worry again

I make another antibody test in the same lab after 11 months and result come negative

My wife got compo hiv test when she giving birth and negative on may 2021 also she make another hiv test combo on jun for her residency and also negative

But I am still worry

I never do anything after we married before 5 years

But I make that mistake in 2019 because I was so drunk

My question

Can my wife get pregnant if I am hiv poz and she test negative 2 time

What my risk

Every year she have to do hiv test for her residency

And when she do it I start worry again

Please advise

I need more test or that test it enough

Welcome back to the Forum. On this occasion, I happened to pick up your question and will be answering. I did read your earlier interaction with Dr. Handsfield and agree with all that he said. My answers to your current questions are the same as the answers he provided- you did not acquire HIV from the exposure you described. You proved this with your testing at five months after the interaction.

Therefore you cannot give HIV to your wife. You do not need more testing. Be confident in this. There is no need for additional testing. EWH

If I came to your clinic and tell my story will ask me to do test or it’s safe sex to have condom on and dost fill or break

This question is repetitive. If you came to my clinic, I would tell you that you had proven that you did not acquire HIV, that you do not need further testing, and that unprotected sex with your wife would not put her at risk for infection. EWH ---

Last question please

Today my wife get the result all STD including HIV

Combo test all negative

We have unprotected sex since my last exposure 2019 so it’s mean ali am also okay negative for all STD , because she is negative for all STD and also my negative antibody in 2019

Your wife’s negative tests for STIS, despite over a year of unprotected sex with her is strong evidence that you are not infected either. It is time for you to move forward without further concerns.
