[Question #7716] possible herpes?

Hi,
In January, after a stressful 2 weeks, I found 2 clear pimple while looking down there. One on my groin (in the fold between the leg/labia) and one on my labia majora. I popped them and it didn't hurt while doing so. I've put acne cream on them and covered them with a band aid. The next day they were still ''open'' so I've put tea tree oil, acne cream, hydrogen peroxide, polysporin on them so that they could dry/heal. I also covered them again. They didn't dried and I started having an intense, dull radiating pain down the leg that stayed until they were completely gone (6 days). I've stopped putting anything on them and just wore loose clothing. The one on the labia scabbed (red scab) on day 3 and was quite itchy in the morning, and the second, on the fold, that looked a bit more like a ulcer/''crater'' just ''closed'' on day 4. The pain down the leg would be unbearable when laid down, but the ''sores'' where not painful to the touch. They weren't on a red base, no redness around them either and I didn't had the other HSV typical symptoms.
My last sexual encounter was 18 weeks ago (always protected) but my partner went to get tested (blood) after that and it came back: ''genital herpes: negative''. (He showed me the results, but I did find it odd that is was written this way and not HSV2, is that common? Or was it a false? I'm from Canada also. His last sexual partner before me, was 2 months prior me).
Would those 2 pimples sound like they could have been an OB? Could it have been an initial one? Or was it dormant for years since it healed ''quickly''? I've never experienced this type of pain before, however 2 weeks later, I did get an ingrown hair on the inner butt (came from under the skin + hair popped out when healing) and it did hurt a bit the same way (nerve pain down the leg) for a while when putting benzoyle peroxide on it.
Thank you.

"Negative" doesn't make sense but perhaps labs in Canada do things differently. Are you sure it was a blood antibody test? Could it have been a blood virus test instead - herpes is not in the blood but some clinicians get mixed up about that. I think you need a good deal of clarification.
These two things could have been herpes lesions but since they really weren't tender, it seems less likely.
But you don't have an answer here, so far. Can you share more about the test results please?

Thank you your reply.
Yes it was a blood antibody test made by a private STI clinic. The lab was Dynacare and they use the Immunoblot. I've read that it's not a test you recommend but I think in Canada it's the only one. Is it unreliable because of the high cases of false positive and not being able to give the values? If it came back negative, can I trust this result at least? He also said he never experienced HSV symptoms. Planning to get myself tested next week.
Can HSV appear without any prodrome and then hurt like it did once I popped the ''pimples''? I heard the nerve pain is a sign of HSV.
And would it be possible for HSV to heal this fast without anything?
Is there a chance it was sleeping in me for a long time since it was ''minor'' compared to a regular OB and not located directly on my genitals?

A negative on an immunoblot is good news and it does not give a number value, correct. I am less likely to trust the positives on this test.
I think it is unlikely that herpes would heal this quickly.
It is possible to have this for a long time and for it to remain latent in your body, but the negative IgG is good news.
