[Question #7793] Testing Uncertainty Clarification

Thank you for your help but I feel like I need to clarify why I believe the 6 week test didn’t count and why I need to for sure if the 12 day RNA test and 4 week AgAb test are conclusive alone not including the 6 week test.

The phlebotomist did not verify my identity before drawing my blood. She called my name, then 3 other patients for us all to give her our req forms. Once done processing I BELIEVE she called my name. I say believe because I have horrible anxiety and memory so I cannot be sure she did in fact call my name and not that of another patient in the room. I went into the other room and she didn’t ask my name back or ask my birthday to verify she had the right patient. That’s why I believe it may be possible my blood may had been used for somebody else’s blood test and my results aren’t mine.

Again for that reason I just want to verify that a 12 day RNA test and 4 week AgAb test combined are conclusive (not including any other tests done before or after, only those 2 at those specific time frames) thank you.

You're still overthinking this. This further description doesn't change my skepticism of a mis-identified specimen. (No matter what anxieties you were experiencing at the time, I find it difficult to imagine you would have responded to a name other than your own.) And the second question is really just asking whether I might have changed my mind about the reliability of the RNA and 4 week AgAb test results. Yes, I verify it, and I explained why (in great detail!) in our prevous discussion.

I understand it’s just due to the anxiety I had at the time I wasn’t paying much attention so I can’t be sure if it was my name called although I suppose if it wasn’t the patient who was called would’ve also gone up.

Regardless I’m sorry I didn’t mean to imply I doubt your opinion it’s just since I mistyped 12 days as 2 weeks in my initial post I just wanted to verify that indeed a 12 day rna test and 4 week AgAb test are conclusive regardless of the risk of exposure.

Thank you.

Again specifically a 12 day rna test NOT 2 weeks.

You asked before and I responded. From the previous thread:  "12 days is close enough. Your results still are conclusive."---

Thank you I just wanted to make sure for sure the 2 days difference between 12 days and 2 weeks didn’t make a difference in conclusiveness. If you say 12 days rna and 4 week AgAb are conclusive on their own though, then I will not test again.

Thank you for your knowledge and help.

I didn’t need the result of the 6 week test anyways because of the 12 day rna and 4 week AgAb negative test results correct?

I'm not going to repeat myself by answering the same questions for the third or fourth time. Did you think I might have changed my mind?

That concludes this thread. Please note that repeated questions on the same topic are not permitted. Our experience shows that continued replies to anxiety-driven questions tend to prolong anxiety, not relieve it. In addition, such questions have little educational value for other users, one of the forum's main goals. Such repeated questions are deleted without reply and without refund of the posting fee. Thank you for your understanding. I do hope the two discussions have been helpful:  try to move on without further worry about any of this. Best wishes and stay safe.
