I was with a man this weekend who told me right away that he has herpes, hsv 2. We did not have penetrative sex, but he performed oral sex on me. This was our only time.  We kissed a lot. I took a bath after (no soap, just soaked in the bath). What is my risk level of contracting herpes, and when will it show up in a test if I have it?

There is no risk of you acquiring HSV 2 from him giving you oral sex, assuming he has HSV 2 genitally, which I'm quite sure is the implication.  Zero risk from the things you did with him.
