[Question #7868] Burning Mouth and swollen Neck

Hello Doctors
Sorry to be back again, as you predicted my 5 month Hiv test was negative.
My question is about my persistent symptoms that don’t go away.
I have been off the antibiotics for two months now and just on Omeprazole for my LPR reflux, the CPPS comes and goes mainly back ache and sometimes burning sensation on top of penis.
I’ve noticed I have lymphangiosclerosis a little on the side of my Penis skin I also can notice a more pronounced lump in the tail of my Eppididymus.
My main cause of pain is now my burning mouth and swollen neck, I read on the Burning mouth syndrome forum that BMS in men is only when they have HIV, totally freaked me out.
I have mild Oral thrush can this cause burning?
My neck is swollen too not lymph nodes but just swollen back and front feels like going up to the connections to my ears.
I have 14 negative hiv tests last one at 5 months past exposure.
Am I missing the bigger picture here and need to look at another STD than can cause this, I’ve been tested for everything but as I was on antibiotics for a crazy long time maybe the bacterial ones  didn’t show up.
Please advise I know you are fed up of me, but as I said every week something happens and bring me back asking questions, due to Covid the GP doesn’t want to see you and difficult to ask questions.
I’m seeing the urologist tomo for a follow up and just want to see if there is any recommendations to ask him.

Ia'm sorry, but this forum is not a resource for every symptom you develop and attribute to the sexual exposure you have described. No, you are not "missing a the bigger picture" and there is no possibility that these symptoms are caused by HIV or any STD; no STD at all causes such symptoms, and as discussed previously, your test results are reliable. I don't understand why you're planning to see a urologist, since you desribe no genital or urinary symptoms. If you have an oral yeast infection (thrush), it could cause oral burning -- but this isn't an STD. If you have taken antibiotics recently (e.g. for your CPPS) that could cause an oral yeast infection.

I'm sorry that "every week something happens", but you can trust it has nothing to do with this or other sexual exposures.

Last time I said such questions would be deleted without reply. I'll let this one stand, but the only follow-up comment to which I will respond is a report of the findings after you see the urologist (or other physician). And future questions will definitely be subject to the deletion policy.

Thank you Doctor Hunter, I’m seeing the urologist for my MRI prostate and groin results and my sperm culture results.
I understand how I most sound to you, believe me I feel like I’ve lost it too, so please forgive me.
But my  physical chronic symptoms are debilitating.
My Gut is all over the place with Diverticular disease too.
Burning mouth constantly and swollen neck sensation.
I think anyone who has had the things happen to me like they have had would put 1-1 together and think it was a STD, regardless of how you quantify risks.
Nevertheless thank you for the answer and I will let you know what the urologist says, but I can imagine it will be lots of question marks again and I will be left in the same situation with no were to turn except the dark hole I’m digging constantly.
Thank you again.

Sorry I didn't understand that your CPPS symptoms are "debilitating"  -- I hope the urologist can help. That you also have other problems like diverticulosis also says nothing about HIV or STD risk. But you're clearly wrong that most people would think symptoms like yours point to an STD; and if they did, almost all would be convinced and reassured by the negative test results and other evidence against that possibility.

You might be inereste to know that in the 15 years of this and our preceding forum, not one person with concerns like yours -- and there have been hundres, maybe thousands -- turned out to have HIV or any other STD. Do your best to accepted the reasonced, science based reassurance you have had.

Absolutely nothing more from me until you have seen the urologist.

Doctor Handsfield,
So as you foresaw all my tests came back normal and clear, apart from a slight decrease in Lymphocytes but still within normal range, 2.2 in January to 1.65 now.
My Albumin is a little high at 52, so maybe I’m very dehydrated as I’m peeing a lot still and don’t drink much to avoid this.
He really couldn’t see how he can help me further, all the private doctors in the uk are so specialized in their own fields it seems they struggle to have any other medical Knowledge of even some of the basic things, not knowing if Antibiotics can cause Thrush or gut problems or even when a Hiv test in conclusive.
At least you and Doctor Hook are willing to speculate and think out of the box.
He did say for me to see a physiologist and that some kind of medication might be part of that treatment.
I’m willing to try anything, but just don’t understand how all these symptoms can be manifestation  of my anxiety and stress.
CPPS
Oral reflux
Oral thrush
Diverticula Colitus
Burning mouth
As you can imagine after everyone telling me that most of it is in my head, my mental state is rock bottom, as my symptoms hurt and bring me down so much.
And whilst I except your risk analysis and when you say the testing window is conclusive after 6 weeks,
Me testing negative 10 times with 4th/5th Generation tests and 4 times with Bio sure rapid test in a 5 month window.

But Stories like the UK guy on this forum who tested positive after 7 months and after 30 tests before hand, fill me with incredible fear.

And this send shivers down my spine.

I know there is only so much info and things you can do, but if you would mind commenting on the link it would help me a little.
So I guess the only way out for me is too except I’m mentally unwell and take happy drugs to except all of this is in my head.
Something tells me this isn’t going to end well.

Thank you Both for you patients with me and except my apologies for the constant reassurance seeking.

I know you disagree, but 100 percent with what’s happened to me and all my symptoms after my so called zero risk handjobs and breastjob the last one in particular when I had pain straight after the event people would have started to doubt certain things and second guess themselves, even the Doctors have.

Thank you again both.

"the UK guy on this forum who tested positive after 7 months and after 30 tests before hand"  I am unaware of any such event on this forum or reported anywhere else. Certainly there is no scietific documention that this has ever occurred with the AgAb (4th generation) HIV tests, except for people who took anti-HIV drugs after exposure. I am confident there is incomplete information or over untruth in such a story, whether or not intentional -- e.g. that there was a later exposure not disclosed.

I have no other comments. I wish you well, but please take note of the policy on repeated questions on the same topic.
