[Question #7894] Chances of Herpes

Hello. I'm gonna make it short.
I hung out with a gentlemen . We were just doing some body touching and mutual masturbation.  No genitals touched . No fluids as well aside from oil.  We got to a point where I laid on my back and he was going to get in to lean. I pushed him back and told him no, as I didn't feel comfortable.  But his outer thighs touched my inner for a couple seconds . He then gave me space and proceeded to massage me again until we finished.  He says he's healthy and 2 days later I have these small bumps on my inner thigh.  I should mention I am a bit heavy.. but these bumps I scratched at a bit and they bled and quickly closed up. But there are 2-4 in a cluster.

Basically I'm asking what are the chances this is herpes and is the activity I did at risk for contracting herpes ? No sex nor genitals touched .

The chances are zero that you acquired herpes from this encounter.  the skin of the thigh is too thick both for virus to leave (him) or enter the skin (of you).  No risks here!

Thank you for your response!!
That is reassuring but the bumps on my inner thigh what could they be then ? They came in 4 little bumps and when I scratched them blood came out. They scabbed and are already healing.. but I did read your other responses and is it true that an initial infection would be on my penis area and not my thigh. ? Also since herpes start as blisters I can assume (at least objectively) if the bumps aren't blisters filled with liquid and painful then that obviously isn't herpes?
Is herpes really that hard to transfer without sex ?

I didn't say that this couldn't have been herpes.  What I said was that there was zero risk of getting herpes from THIS encounter.  I don't know anything about your past sexual history.  Having said that these bumps could certainly have been something quite benign like folliculitis, inflammation of the hair follicle.  Yes, herpes is really that hard to transfer without having sex of some kind.
