Good morning, eat or drink before having a finger prick HIV test, that only detects antibodies (3 generation), does it affect the detection of antibodies?  alter the result?

Thanks

Welcome to our forum and thanks for your question. There is nothing that you could eat or drink prior to having an HIV antibody test which would alter the results of that test. These tests are highly really reliable. EWH ---

ok, so if i did the test after lunch and it is negative after three months of risk practice.  Is the negative definitive for hiv 1 and hiv2?

Yes, eating would make no difference and your results would be conclusive. EWH ---
