[Question #8042] HSV2 question

Hello Terri,
So I was in NYC this week and drunkenly ended with 2 higher priced female CSWs. Both encounters condom was worn. And it was mostly protected oral sex except in one instance, I briefly penetrated for maybe 30 seconds or so and i briefly put my tongue in a vagina (5 seconds)
I know this is not a concern for HIV, but with HSV2 i have questions.
1. What are the chances of catching it with encounters i described?

2. Re: symptoms where would i expect lesions and over what period after the exposure? I have pearly penile papules over foreskin and penis head etc would the lesions be markedly different? Would they appear around my general genital area?
I am at this point not inclined to get a blood test as I once had a false positive that needed to be cleared with a Western Blot.

Good job using a condom for these encounters. The risk of you getting HSV 2 from these encounters is very low indeed. If you were going to get lesions, they would happen within 2-10 days, perhaps as long as a couple of weeks. And they would appear yes, in the genital area. I doubt that 5 seconds of you giving oral sex to someone would result in oral infection.
I don't think you need an antibody test, but if you develop any lesions, please have those swab tested. I doubt that you will.
Terri
