[Question #8097] Risk Assessment

Hello, I would like some expert advice regarding the following situation. I Recently visited a lady who performs sensual massages. At the beginning of the session she stuck her tongue in my belly button then proceeded to give my erect penis a kiss. I believe it was on the side and closed mouth but not 100% sure. She definitely didn't put her mouth over my penis. I informed her this was out of my comfort zone and she stimulated me with her breasts and hand until completion. My questions are as follows and apply to the whole situation but more so concerning her mouth

1. Did this in anyway put me at risk for an sti/std?

2. If so does it warrant testing?

3. Should I suspend sex with my partner who I would rather not disclose this to?

I wasn't to worried until I read online that this is a possible pathway for transmission.

Thank you sincerely

Welcome to our forum and thanks for your question, as well as your confidence in our service. I’ll be glad to provide you with information. The short answer to your question is that each of the activities that you described were absolutely no risk events in terms of risk for any STI including HIV and thus, no reason for testing or concern. More detailed responses to each of your questions follows:

1.  Receipt of masturbation, direct contact with your masseuse’s breasts, and the fact that she kissed your penis without placing it in her mouth are no risk events. Penetration is needed for transmission of virtually all STI’s.

2.  As mentioned above, as these are no risk events, there is no medical or scientific reason whatsoever for testing.

3.  I see no reason for avoiding section unprotected sexual contact with your regular partner.

Final comment. I note that you mentioned that you searched the Internet for information related to your risk. While the Internet remains a superb mechanism for communication, it is not overseen or edited in anyway hence there is much misinformation there. This misinformation is there either because it is taken out of context, because it is out of date, or it is simply wrong. I urge you not to use the Internet and seeking health related information except from Known and the most reliable sources.

I hope that the information I provided is useful. If anything is unclear or their further questions please don’t hesitate to use you were up to two follow-ups for that purpose. Take care. EWH
