[Question #8307] HSV Testing and Clarification

Hello,
I had an incident in June where I had protected sex (oral and penetrative)with two new partners a week apart from each other. About 3 days after the second partner (only oral sex) I developed severe pain and irritation.
I went to the doctor who did a full PAP, STD screen and blood test for HSV. The tests were all negative minus a bacterial infection which they prescribed antibiotics and it was working to clear it up. 2 days after that I was still in severe pain and developed a slight fever. Went back to the doctor who provided antivirals and aciclovir cream. After a couple of days this still didn’t resolve so I went back to the doctor. They then prescribed fusidic cream (antibiotic) which cleared it up right away and provided instant relief.
Fast forward and for all purposes I had another HSV blood test pulled on 20 September. The test came back positive (not sure levels or type because it’s a German doctor and the tech could only help me). She said that it was only slightly positive but couldn’t tell me if it was type 1 or 2.
I’ve been in contact with both of the men who now still say they don’t have HSV and have since been tested. I haven’t had any other outbreaks since the initial skin irritation in early July nor have I had any new partners.
My question is…is Fusidic ever used to clear HSV? I feel lost since they didn’t do a swab on the wounds to actually see what it was.
Since I live in Germany is there any way to get a Western Blot test here?
Appreciate your help. I’ve learned throughout this entire thing that everybody does truly have this and it’s not the end of the world but I would like to know for sure so I can disclose to future potential partners if warranted.
